Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the celebrant with the reverent distribution of Holy Communion. This ensures that the assembly will receive the Body and Blood of Christ in a dignified, orderly and timely manner.
Eucharistic Ministers enable our celebration to flow gracefully and prayerfully as we share a meal together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. They remind us that our communion with the Lord is also communion with one another.
Some of our Eucharistic Ministers preside over Communion services at retirement residences. Some take the Eucharist to our home-bound parishioners. What a unique gift it is to care in this way for those who are unable to join our liturgies in person.
If you feel called to the Ministry of the Eucharist, please email us! We are delighted to answer your questions about servant leadership as a Minister of the Eucharist at our parish.
